Here at Central FS we provide reliable and tailored security systems made precisely for your needs.
Whether it’s a domestic or commercial property, we’re committed to providing high-quality security installations for our customers.
Intruder Alarms
Intruder alarm systems are a very effective way of protecting your home. From wireless, smart app-controlled alarms for your home to enterprise-level integrated systems for your business. All of our systems can be connected to our 24/7 alarm receiving centre with police response to give you the ultimate peace of mind.
Intruder alarms, or burglar alarms as most people search for them, are still the backbone of most installs, and our systems are wireless and app-connected, built from door contacts, motion sensors and a control panel.

CCTV Installation
Do you want to keep an eye on your premises from anywhere via a smart app? Have access to trained staff to monitor your CCTV 24/7? Be aware of potential threats before they happen? Our CCTV systems can be installed to do all of this and much more!

Door Access Control
Door entry systems allow you to control who enters and exits your premises. Using facial recognition, fobs, cards, codes or fingerprints. These systems are great for keeping an eye on who is entering your property and for keeping rooms secure that should only be accessed by certain people.
For an office or a multi-tenant building, it also means you can see who came through which door and when. We integrate access control with your CCTV and intruder alarm where it’s useful, so all three report through one interface.

Automatic Gates and Barriers
Our automatic gates can be tailored to suit your needs. Whether it’s for a domestic or commercial property, these gates can be useful for all. Automatic gates and barriers can allow you to see or speak to a visitor before they enter onto your property, and you can even check your gates from your smartphone for ultimate ease of use.
We install rising barriers, bollards and turnstiles alongside the gate automation. We can also tie the whole thing into your access control, so a fob or a number plate opens the gate.

Why choose Central FS for security solutions
Our own engineers carry out installation and maintenance for every customer, drawing on the same electrical and fire expertise as the rest of the business.

Several came through our in-house apprenticeship scheme rather than being hired in fully trained.
Organisations across retail, hospitality, leisure and events trust us with their sites, including Edinburgh Zoo and the Scottish Event Campus.
With offices in Glasgow and Perth, an engineer can reach most of Central Scotland the same day. You’re not waiting on a national call centre to book someone in from three counties away.
Whether you’re a single shop or a multi-site organisation, that’s the standard of work you get. Get in touch and we’ll tell you what we’d recommend for your site.
Security systems across Scotland
We install and maintain security systems from our Glasgow head office and our Perth base.
That covers Glasgow, Edinburgh and the rest of the Central Belt, plus Tayside and the wider east coast.
Between the two offices, we reach as far as Oban, and we support homeowners and businesses across Scotland from the same helpdesk.
Wherever your building sits, you get the same engineers and the same SSAIB-approved standard of work.
Security systems in Scotland FAQ
What types of security system do you install?
We cover intruder alarms, CCTV, door access control and automatic gates and barriers. Domestic security installs combine several of these into one home security package for a house. Most commercial sites end up with two or three working together rather than one system on its own.
What effectively puts burglars off a property?
Visible deterrents help. Cameras, alarm boxes and decent lighting all make a property a less attractive target.
But the bigger factor is whether anything happens when a sensor trips. A monitored intruder alarm connected to an alarm receiving centre is a genuine deterrent, because a break-in there gets a real response. An unmonitored siren usually just stops after a few minutes.
Well-sited sensors also cut down on false alarms. A system that keeps triggering for no reason tends to get switched off or ignored.
Do you offer 24-hour monitoring and police response?
Yes. Systems connected to our alarm receiving centre are monitored around the clock. Where it’s warranted, a genuine alert can bring a police response, rather than you finding out about an incident the next morning.
What should I think about before choosing a system?
Start with what you’re actually protecting: cash, stock, a car park, or simply an empty house you want kept secure while you’re away. That decides whether you need CCTV, an alarm, access control or a combination.
We’ll talk through the options when we survey your property, rather than quoting a standard package over the phone.
Are there costs beyond installation?
Some systems are a one-off install with no further cost beyond occasional servicing. Monitoring through our alarm receiving centre is usually a small ongoing fee. We set that out clearly in your quote, so there’s nothing to work out later.
Are security systems regulated in Scotland, and are you accredited?
Insurers and commercial leases set their own requirements for alarm grade or monitoring, rather than a single piece of regulation the way smoke alarms have.
Not all alarm installers hold SSAIB approval. Ours means our installation and monitoring meet independent quality standards under regular inspection. That covers you whether the compliance requirement comes from your insurer, your landlord or your own standards.
How long does installation take?
A domestic alarm or CCTV install is usually done in a day. Larger commercial jobs, especially ones combining several systems, take longer and depend on the size of the site. We’ll give you a realistic timeframe with your quote.
